Merry Christmas!  For the first time in a long time, Clay and I got to spend more than just two or so days with our families for Christmas.  We were blessed to be able to go home for about two weeks and spend all that time with them!  We had several gatherings with the extended family, and we were so happy to get to see everyone.  On Christmas Day, both of our families came together for brunch. It was SO nice to stay close to home AND get to spend the day with both our parents, Clay's sister and her husband, and our little nephew, Stephen.

Our Christmas was great present-wise, too.  We each pretty much got everything we could have possibly wanted, and then some,  (P.S. I'm typing this on my brand new iPad Air :) Thanks Clay!)

Clay and his family have gone to Callaway Gardens several times as he was growing up, and me and his brother-in- law had always heard stories about it.  Well, we finally got to go!  The Cromers took us all to see the lights and stay a few days.  We went on a hike in Pine Mountain, and we got to explore the grounds at Callaway.  It was SO nice and I can't wait to go again! [Waiting on pictures from Clay's camera!]

Happy New Year!  We rung in the New Year with great company.  We started with a fantastic sushi dinner at Rock 'N Sake, then moved on to our house for drinks.  It wasn't a big party, but it was definitely fun!

But, alas, 2013 has come and gone.  So many exciting things are awaiting us in 2014:

We are getting married in April :D

I graduate in May

We go on our honeymoon to Italy in May/June

We move back home in June

I start searching for a job to start my teaching career, which hopefully will begin in August

And I'm sure the year holds many more exciting things that God has planned for us, we just don't know what yet :)

I hope you and yours had a great 2013, and have an even better 2014.

Xoxo,
E
